UBQ Materials\u2019 new facility to convert MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) into the world\u2019s most climate-positive thermoplastic in The Netherlands<\/h4>\n

De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC)<\/strong> is proud to announce its participation in the implementation of UBQ Materials<\/strong>\u2019 new facility in The Netherlands to convert MSW<\/strong> (Municipal Solid Waste) into the world\u2019s most climate-positive thermoplastic.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/3″][vc_single_image image=\u00bb13374″ img_size=\u00bbmedium\u00bb alignment=\u00bbcenter\u00bb css_animation=\u00bbfadeIn\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=\u00bb13378″ img_size=\u00bbfull\u00bb alignment=\u00bbcenter\u00bb][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=\u00bbpt-2 pb-2″][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=\u00bbfadeIn\u00bb]Based on UBQ\u2019s patented technology and a pilot commercial plant in Israel, this flagship will turn 95,000 tpy of waste into 72,000 tpy of thermoplastic tablets through a clean and efficient conversion process, to create a material that is made of 100% recycled content and carries a substantial climate-positive environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

As the world seeks ways to avoid depleting valuable resources by burning waste or dumping in landfills, this project is the first step in UBQ\u2019s expansion plan for a sustainable and scalable global solution.<\/p>\n

DSEC\u2019s mandate is a partial EPCM<\/strong><\/a> set-up aiming to develop detailed process integration engineering while taking care of safety issues and performing the balance of plant development.<\/p>\n

DSEC\u2019s mission will be headed by its Belgium office in close collaboration with UBQ team to have the plant operational by Q1 2023.<\/p>\n

This project reinforces DSEC’s willingness to support the development of novel,\u00a0climate-positive, sustainable, and\u00a0cost-effective projects.<\/p>\n
