De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC), is pleased to announce the signature of an EPC contract with its long-time customer Alcogroup for the conversion of South African NCP Alcohols’ molasses distillery into a corn based facility. The project will cover grain handling, storage, milling, mashing and ENA distillation facilities as well as Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles (DDGS) production up to load-out.

In addition to increasing NCP’s current processing capacity, it will improve the plant overall energy efficiency while drastically reducing its environmental impact thanks to the production of DDGS – a high protein animal feed component.

The Belgian ECA Credendo is providing financing coverage for the imported portion of the project.
