De Smet AGRO was awarded the scoping definition and the feasibility study of the Greenfield project developed by JIFCO, a joint venture between JPMC (Jordan) and IFFCO (India). In 2010, De Smet AGRO signed the EPCM services contract for the realization of the complex which includes a 4,500 Mtpd sulphuric acid plant and a 1,500 Mtpd phosphoric acid plant. All off-sites and utilities including the port facilities for export at Aqaba were also designed and managed by De Smet AGRO. Engineering on this mandate was completed on a fast-track schedule.
